These terms set out the deal between you and Tapticks when you buy tickets, sell on a storefront, or otherwise use the platform. Plain language, no surprises.
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Tapticks — our websites, apps, door scanner, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, buying a ticket, or opening a storefront, you agree to these terms.
If you are using Tapticks on behalf of a business or venue, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation to these terms.
Tapticks is a ticketing platform operated for the Jamaican market. We provide the technology that lets venues and promoters sell tickets directly to fans, and that lets fans buy, hold, and present those tickets. We are not the organiser of any event listed on the Service — the promoter named on each event is.
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
When you buy a ticket, you enter a contract with the promoter of that event, not with Tapticks. The price shown in your cart is the price you pay — fees are included before checkout.
If you open a storefront, you are the merchant of record for your events. You are responsible for the accuracy of every listing, for honouring tickets sold, and for complying with all applicable laws.
Fan-side fees are displayed before checkout. Seller-side fees are set out in your storefront agreement — a percentage plus a per-ticket amount, with no subscription or listing fees.
Settlement to sellers is made to a nominated JMD or USD bank account, typically the next business day after a sale, net of refunds, chargebacks, and applicable fees.
Refund eligibility is set by the promoter and shown on each event. Where an event is cancelled, the face value of affected tickets is refunded automatically to the original payment method.
You agree not to:
Tapticks and its logos, software, and design are owned by us or our licensors. Event content — posters, descriptions, artist names — belongs to the promoters and rights holders who supply it. You may not copy or reuse any of it except as the Service intends.
The Service is provided “as is.” Tapticks is not responsible for the conduct of promoters or fans, for the quality or safety of any event, or for losses outside our reasonable control.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to Tapticks in the three months before the claim arose.
These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your location says otherwise.
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will give notice by email or in-app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tapticks after a change means you accept the updated terms.
