Cookies & similar storage

Tapticks uses cookies and similar storage technologies (local storage, session storage, and a small set of first-party analytics pixels) on tapticks.app and in the in-app web views. This page explains what each category does, how long it sticks around, and how you control it.

• Strictly necessary. Keep you signed in, hold cart contents during checkout, remember your accessibility preferences, and protect against fraud at the door. These cannot be turned off — without them the site doesn't work.
• Functional. Remember the city you last browsed, the language you picked, whether you've dismissed a tip card. Off by default for first-time visitors in regions that require opt-in.
• Analytics. Anonymous traffic measurement (Vercel Analytics + Vercel Speed Insights). Sampled, no cross-site tracking. Off by default in the EU and UK.
• Marketing. We don't run third-party ad cookies. If that changes, this section gets updated and you get a fresh consent prompt.

• Stripe — sets first- and third-party cookies on the embedded checkout iframe to prevent payment fraud. Required when you complete a purchase.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot-protection challenge on login/signup. No tracking; the cookie is scoped to the form session and cleared on submit.
• Mapbox — loads venue maps on event pages. Sets a session cookie for tile caching only.
• Spotify — when you tap the play button on an artist card, the embedded Spotify iframe loads its own cookies under spotify.com. Same applies to Apple Music previews via embed.music.apple.com.

You can change your choices any time on Your Privacy Choices. That page also lets you submit a Do Not Sell or Share request for jurisdictions that require it (US states with a comprehensive privacy law, plus Quebec and the EU).

You can also clear cookies in your browser settings. Doing so signs you out, empties any in-progress cart, and resets dismissable hints. We never set non-essential cookies until you've made a choice on the banner.
